Digital ministry confirms plans to launch 5G by 2024
SAMARKAND, Oct 25 (PRIME) -- Russia plans to launch 5G by 2024, Deputy Digital Development Minister Bella Cherkesova said on Tuesday.
“We have clearly much to work on,” Cherkesova said, adding that pilot projects of 5G were carried out in eight regions and cities of the country as of the end of 2021.
Program Digital Economy stipulates steady coverage with 5G of the 10 largest cities by 2022 and all cities of the country with more than 1 million people by 2024.
